Childcare Cook

We are a Christian childcare centre located in Albany, Auckland. Providing excellent care and education to our families in our community.

Our current cook is moving on, so we are looking for another wonderful person to join our team! Our learning community is warm and welcoming, and your contribution to the team will be valued by teachers, parents and children alike.

The role is part-time: Mon-Fri (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hrs/week)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic Food Safety accreditation (ideal, but not a must as will be trained)
  • Experience in cooking for large groups
  • Effective time management
  • Basic administration skills
  • Must be flexible, when required, and enjoy working alongside children in a busy team environment
  • Must be willing to undergo non-core worker Safety Check required by Vulnerable Children Act (2014), which includes compulsory Police Vet.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals as per planned menu in liaison with Head Chef
  • Ensure all relevant guidance regarding public health and food safety is followed
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly with the teaching team and Head Chef

Unqualified Early Childhood Teacher

We are a Christian childcare centre located in Queenstown, looking for an unqualified teacher or a teacher in training to join our amazing team for 25 hours per week (with the potential for additional hours as needed).

Casual Early Childhood Education Reliever

We are a Christian childcare centre located in Queenstown, providing exceptional care and education to families in our community.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable candidates to join our casual relievers pool. While an ECE qualification is an advantage, we are also interested in hearing from experienced, unqualified applicants who have references demonstrating their experience working with young children. This role may also suit a university or high school student (must be at least 17 years old) seeking school holiday work and who has experience working with children.

To support our friendly, professional team during staff absences, we are seeking capable individuals who:

  • Have a kind and nurturing approach toward children
  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills
  • Are flexible and responsive to the needs of the centre

  • Have experience working with children and the flexibility to work across all age groups, from 3 months to 6 years
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Be proactive and show initiative in the classroom, supporting teachers in providing quality care and education
  • Be available to start as soon as possible
