Meet The Team

Mel Fualau Centre Manager

Kia Ora, Malo soifua, I am Mel,  the Centre Manager of City Impact Church Childcare Balclutha. I have been a qualified teacher since 2010. I have been working at City Impact Church Childcare since our centre opened in 2019.
It is such a joy to get to work alongside and lead the most incredible group of teachers who are so invested building rich relationships with children and families and supporting children to thrive within our environment.

Heather Davis Team Leader

I graduated as an ECE teacher in 2011 but have been teaching in the ECE sector since 2009. I started here when we opened and have loved being part of the pioneering and seeing the centre grow.
I am very proud of our Explorers room (Under 2’s) and the dedication, passion, kindness and enthusiasm that the team bring to the room. I love seeing our children develop a sense of belonging in the centre and finding their place and the amazing relationships that the teachers strive to develop with the children and whanau.

Christine Carroll Team Leader

Hello, I am Christine Carroll and I have been teaching for 7 years at many different levels within the education sector. I have a passion to support the team and see them grow from strength to strength. Transition to school is also one of my strengths where I want each child to learn about their God given identities and know how much they are loved. It is my absolute pleasure to be working with the tamariki and whanau to support our learning journeys.
