Centre Philosophy
We are a Christian Early Childhood Centre, carrying the heart of City Impact Church’s vision of making a difference in our community. We are committed to providing care and education of excellence. We recognise every child as a unique individual and provide a rich, exciting and fun learning environment where children can explore, create, discover, contribute, choose and gain a love of learning.
We desire to care for and nurture the coming generations, sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ with children and families. Our Christian faith is the foundation of our teaching in which God is at the centre of everything we do. Our core values of Believe, Belong, Become and Build are key building blocks in supporting the development of children in all areas of Biblical belief, values and character.
Family is important to us, and we want everyone to feel welcome, for every child and their family to have a sense of belonging and comfort in knowing that this is a safe and secure home away from home. We support and work alongside families, respecting their aspirations for their children. Valuing and embracing cultural diversity enables us to build meaningful relationships with our families.
Our programme is underpinned by Te Whariki (NZ Early Childhood Curriculum) with our Biblical Curriculum harmoniously woven together to support children’s learning and the development of their identity, language and culture. Our rich curriculum provides opportunities for children to grow and develop into their full potential.
We honour Te Tiriti O Waitangi, our dual Heritage of Aotearoa and uphold this in practice through ongoing professional development and integration of te reo maori, tikanga maori practices in alignment with our Christian beliefs and Biblical Curriculum.
Here at our North Shore Childcare Centre, you will find a purpose-built and well-resourced centre that provides learning spaces that are light, bright, and inviting. We provide enriching play experiences through intentional teaching, structured learning and management of the environment. Our aim is to provide the best care for your child to support their well-being and provide valuable support to our families. We endeavour to extend children’s emergent interests by providing an exciting curriculum and using the environment as a third teacher.
As teachers get to know each child, listen to their thoughts and ideas and observe their milestones, we provide learning opportunities to support them in their ages and stages of development. Teachers plan activities and projects based on children’s individual interests to foster the development of language, social skills and creativity. During each stage, we support children’s emotional development, physical skills, literacy and fine motor skills. This range of educational activities and social activities serve as a positive influence on the children’s growth and success.

Preschool is an Over 2’s Centre with a focus on preparing children for school. Our aim is to empower children by creating an engaging environment, to extend and support children’s interests and to equip them in becoming capable, confident, lifelong learners. We offer an academic and developmental approach to learning, thoughtfully designed by our passionate and experienced teachers.
When deciding which areas to focus on, teachers and educators take into account the interests, strengths and needs of each child, where they are encouraged to be active participants in their learning. With guidance and encouragement, children will learn and develop skills in early literacy, numeracy, and self-help to assist with a smooth and successful transition to school.
Working closely with our local school community our programme encompasses all areas of school readiness concepts, introduced and included organically in the day to day running of each room. Inspired learning opportunities are provided in both age and developmentally appropriate ways, giving your child the head start that they deserve in their early childhood education journey.

Here at our Queenstown Childcare Centre, you will find a multi-cultural community. Our teachers, children and families come from a variety of cultures and different corners of the world. We strive to embrace and respect the diversity of our learners, with a commitment to celebrating the uniqueness
of every child and family. We aim to show our children the importance of caring for and looking after each other and the world we live in.
Within our purpose-built and well-resourced centre you will find exciting, engaging and age appropriate learning spaces. Our centre is divided into three classrooms that cater for the developmental needs of the different age groups. This ensures children have opportunities to learn,
grow and develop while experiencing all areas of the early childhood curriculum. Inside these classrooms, our passionate teachers are able to focus on providing enriching experiences through both intentional teaching and following the child’s emergent interests.

Here at our Balclutha Childcare Centre, respectful relationships with whānau and children are what form the backbone of our centre community. Through manaakitanga (respect), aroha (love) and whanaungatanga (relationships), our team of passionate teachers pride themselves on creating an environment where children are secure in their sense of belonging, resilience, self-worth and ability to explore the wider world around them.
Our beautiful purpose-built centre provides age appropriate learning areas where children are empowered and supported to be leaders in their own learning. We seek to scaffold and extend their individual interests through both intentional and spontaneous teaching, all whilst using the environment as the third teacher. We regard each child as unique and precious and provide learning experiences that celebrate our children and families whilst recognising the link between home and centre.
