At City Impact Church Childcare, we understand the importance of instilling strong values and a love for God in our little ones. Our curriculum is built on four main foundations, each with specific goals that lead to meaningful learning outcomes. With time, guidance, and encouragement, our children become increasingly capable of achieving these outcomes.
One of our four foundations is Belonging to God’s Family. Through a range of role modeling, experiences, meaningful conversations, positive child guidance, and the art of storytelling through activities, and mat time sessions, we create a nurturing environment where every moment is a lesson, and every interaction is an opportunity for growth.
To help children understand and embrace their belonging to God’s family, we incorporate a variety of activities that are engaging, educational, and spiritually enriching. Here are some specific activities we use:
Storytelling
We share age-appropriate Bible stories that highlight themes of family, belonging, and God’s love. Stories like “The Prodigal Son,” “Noah’s Ark,” and “Jesus Blesses the Children” are great examples.
Creative Crafts
Create a family tree where each child adds leaves or handprints to represent their family members, including God as the central figure.
Group Activities and Games
Play games that require cooperation and teamwork, such as building block towers or group scavenger hunts, to illustrate the importance of working together as God’s family.
Mat Time Discussions
Have guided discussions where children share ways, they can be kind and helpful to others, reinforcing the idea of living like Jesus.

Our Curriculum Foundations
In addition to Belonging to God’s Family, our curriculum includes:
1. Believing in God: Helping children develop a strong and personal faith in God.
2. Becoming More Like Jesus: Encouraging children to embody the qualities and teachings of Jesus in their daily lives.
3. Building God’s Kingdom: Inspiring children to actively contribute to and participate in their community and the wider world, reflecting God’s love and compassion.
By integrating these foundations into our daily activities, we aim to nurture a deep, enduring faith and a strong sense of belonging in each child. At City Impact Church Childcare, every lesson and interaction is designed to support the spiritual growth and development of our little ones, helping them to understand their place in God’s family and the larger world.
