At City Impact Church Childcare, we are passionate about raising up children who not only know God but also understand that they can play an active role in Building God’s Kingdom. One of our key Biblical curriculum foundations is teaching children that they can make a difference through their words, actions, generosity, and prayers. Through engaging activities, we help our little ones grasp the importance of being a blessing, working together, and sharing God’s love with others.
We understand the importance of instilling strong values and a love for God in our little ones. Our curriculum is built on four main foundations, each with specific goals that lead to meaningful learning outcomes. With time, guidance, and encouragement, our children become increasingly capable of achieving these outcomes.
Here are some fun and meaningful activities you can try at home to help children embrace their role in Building God’s Kingdom:
Be a Blessing Basket
Materials: Small basket, slips of paper, markers.
Instructions: Encourage children to think of ways they can be a blessing—helping with chores, sharing a toy, or saying something kind. Write these on paper slips and place them in the basket. Each day, children pick a slip and aim to complete the blessing. This helps them understand that they can bless others in many ways.
Giving Hands
Materials: Construction paper, scissors, glue, markers.
Instructions: Trace and cut out handprints. On each handprint, children write or draw ways they can give—whether it’s time, resources, or kindness. Display the hands on a “Generous Hearts” board, reminding them that generosity is part of God’s plan for His people.
Prayer Chain
Materials: Strips of colored paper, markers, tape or glue.
Instructions: Teach children that their prayers matter by creating a prayer chain. Each child writes a prayer request on a paper strip—whether for a friend, teacher, or family member. Link the strips together to form a chain, symbolizing how our prayers connect us and help build God’s Kingdom.
Through these engaging activities, children will develop an understanding that they have a role to play in God’s Kingdom, no matter how small they are. By giving, praying, and working together, they will learn that every action—no matter how small—makes a big difference in the world for Jesus!

Our Curriculum Foundations
In addition to Building God’s Kingdom, our curriculum includes:
- Believing in God: Helping children develop a strong and personal faith in God.
- Belonging to Gods family: Helping Children Understand Their Place in God’s Loving Community
-
Becoming More Like Jesus: Encouraging children to embody the qualities and teachings of Jesus in their daily lives.
By integrating these foundations into our daily activities, we aim to nurture a deep, enduring faith and a strong sense of belonging in each child. At City Impact Church Childcare, every lesson and interaction are designed to support the spiritual growth and development of our little ones, helping them to understand their place in God’s family and the larger world.
